The sections of cage

For completeness here are the remainder of the cage parts

One front, and one back

I cut a L shaped bracket to make two small bars, I attached these at a 45 degree angle just inside the door on the right hand side (top and bottom) to prevent any strain on the hinges as the chinnies yanked on the door in their eagerness to come out.

One cage top.

Two cage sides.

And because Lexie likes to cooch up to the wire when peeing I put thin plexiglass (2mm thickness) inside the wire from the floor up to the lower shelf in order to prevent the bottom of the wooden frame from becoming stained and smelly. Placing it like this stops the chins being able to chew it.

TIP

Plexiglas (polystyrene sheeting) is difficult to cut. If you use any, don't buy it until you know exactly what size pieces you need then buy it from a shop which will cut the pieces you require.
